Directions by road from M11 Stansted

  1. Take junction 8a (Stansted Airport) on M11 A120 (E) towards Stansted Airport and Colchester
  2. Follow the A120 past Stansted
  3. Turn off at Dunmow (South) exit, following the brown Tourist signs to Blake House Craft Centre
  4. Turn left at the Pub (The Palm Trees) to Great Saling (2 miles).
  5. When entering Great Saling you will see a long brick wall on your right. Follow the brick wall on your right down Piccotts Lane
  6. Pass the village hall on your left, a few hundred yards the road turns left there is a red brick lodge and a gravel road leading to Golden Grove.

Directions by road from Braintree

  1. Take the A120 towards Stansted Airport. Exit on B1417 (Felsted)
  2. Follow signs to ‘Blake House Craft Centre’ on B1256 (Stebbing), turn right at The Palm Trees to Great. Saling (2 miles)
  3. When entering Great Saling you will see a long brick wall on your right. Follow the brick wall on your right down Piccotts Lane

We had a really enjoyable stay at Golden Grove in mid May.
The dog pitches are great and we were lucky enough to be able to have the larger one of the two, which is huge.
The location is good with lots to see and do in the area.
Gaynor and John were so helpful and welcoming, they made our stay even better.

We stayed here 10th-17th of June 2023, we were greeted at the entrance by a lovely couple called Gaynor and John and their beautiful Great Danes Poppy & Daisy, Gaynor & John were very helpful during our stay, They came around everyday to check all guest were happy and that there were no problems, The grass is kept very nice and the whole park was spotless, we were so happy with our stay that we booked it again for next year, we had great weather, scenery was stunning, and plenty of wildlife, squirrels, pheasants and sheep, look forward to our return. Can't praise Gaynor & John enough

What a fantastic site, very well looked after and Gaynor and John were super friendly and very accommodating, John lent us his caravan brush so I could clean the Van.

Stayed at Golden Grove for a week commencing 17/10/23. I don’t normally write reviews regarding camp sites, but feel I must on this occasion
Well what can I say! just brilliant in all ways, from the welcome shown by the site managers, the dog friendly site, the whole ambience of this small site , to the beautiful surrounding countryside and quaint villages to be explored on foot and by car.

It's a small and really pretty site.  Quiet and peaceful.  There's a dog walking field and two gorgeous and friendly great danes.  The site staff went out of their way to help us.  We would definitely go back.

We had 3 nights there at the end of March. A little basic (one loo and no showers) bur absolutely wonderful site. Warm welcome at the gate from Gaynor, her partner and their lovely Gt. Danes.
The site is very well presented and the pitches are huge. EHU and water supply on each pitch. Our pitch(7) had a communal area next to it with a round table to seat 8, a gas BBQ another tBle and two chairs and the whole site is just very pretty. We had Sunday lunch in Rayne at 47 The Street, expensive but very good.
Have recommended two friends who spent Easter there and they loved it.

A Great stay local to us. A friendly welcome on arrival and goodbye on departure. The site is well laid out with generous pitches and well maintained. The area is very quiet and this is well respected by other campers. A bit of a result being local but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this site to anyone who is further afield

Lovely site managers, very helpful, we were clueless as 1st time caravaning, and they helped educate us , has a washing machine and dryer with £1 coins, site toilet also avaliable to use, fair price for stay also

Only negative thing (not site related) would be the entrance towards the turning to caravan site, it dangerous,  and need to take caution when turning in,
